Weather in the area is often beautiful year round though there can be periods of heavy rain, especially during hurricane season.

These include cabins, a fully functioning campground and a special camping area dedicated to youth and youth based events. Activities inside the park include birding, boat ramps, canoeing, paddle boats, fishing spots and an area for family reunions and other gatherings.

One of the most upscale campgrounds on the river is that of the Suwannee Music Park and Campground. It is a one of a kind park that offers several music festivals throughout the year. The park also provides live entertainment on certain nights of the weeks, a fun camping experience whether tenting or RVing along with many other amenities.
