The Different Types of Fishing Rods

Holders used for fishing rods take the inconvenience from fishing for many different reasons. One reason is that it is good storage for the pole, and really comes in handy in a kayak. Rather than holding the paddle with your legs while fishing, a rod holder holds the pole so that you don't have to, therefore enabling anyone to carry multiple rods or even two or three paddles.
Also, it makes trolling easier since the holder keeps position as the angler travels to many all the possible places and when unhooking a caught fish, rod holders keep the rod secure. Additionally they allow for catching multiple fish at once making the kayak look more versatile.
Here are some tips that could prove helpful in order to determine the types of rods one should purchase.
To attach, or not to attach, that is the question. Currently there are two types in the category of rod holders one of these can be attached on the outside of the boat and one that goes in the flush. They both work differently and both work well accordingly but the choice all depends on the individual's preference.
To those who prefer the unattached: The unattached type of fishing rod holder appears in two forms straight, and angled, with the vast majority of kayaks making use of the angled form. Using this form one has a good chance of being able to stroll as the rods move away from the kayak.
If the person prefers the attached version: If the straight type is used, one is able to keep the fishing rod near the middle of the boat and as such, works best in storing the rod. Such a rod holder is good for the Tower and Cobra Navigator model of a kayak.
The do-it-yourself fishing rod holder: One could just as easily make their own fishing rod holder with nothing but regular PVC. Or even start out by getting a milk crate and attaching it to a kayak through the utilization of straps
The alternative type of fishing rod holder: There is another type of rod holder that could be placed just above the kayak. In most cases these are tubes known as RAM, or Titelock. As the name implies it provides a lock for the rod and involves in most cases, a male and female part and the difference allows for separation. Manufacturers that build this variation of fishing rod are Attwood, Scotty and Roberts.
