Traveling around the world is an expensive hobby, both in time and money. I can't do it as often as I'd like, but I still take every travel opportunity that I can manage. It can really shake up your ideas about the world when you see other cultures compared to your own.
I've always tried to visit as many different countries as I can, and I'm still working on seeing more. I've been to many exciting places, but one country always sticks out as my favorite.
Taking a trip to Spain two years ago, I was consistently amazed by everything about the country. It is, by far, my favorite country that I've been to.
Spain lies in Southern Europe and possesses its own unique and interesting culture, unlike anywhere else in the world. There are so many great things about the country; here are just a few of my favorite aspects of Spain.
The country has coasts on its South and East sides, with the Mediterranean Sea lying out to the East. There are some beautiful port towns, like Barcelona and Valencia, and there are great beaches all along the coastal regions as well.
The Costa del Sol is the Southern cost of Spain, and it's the home of many beautiful resort cities. Marbella is one such resort town, offering many places for tourists to stay and enjoy the beach.
Despite the beautiful coasts, Madrid was still my favorite part of Spain. It's a modern city, but with a traditional Spanish cultural flair. I truly felt like I was experiencing authentic Spanish traditions.
You'll always find something to do in Madrid, whether you're enjoying the local restaurants and shopping centers, or you're going out to be a part of the city's exciting nightlife.
These are just a few of the attractions in Spain; there are many more exciting places to see, and I plan on discussing them more in the future. You really can't go wrong visiting Spain - it's a beautiful country and you're guaranteed to love it.
