By Alfred Renteria

People purchasing cars have found a used Nissan Altima to be an excellent car to investigate. It was originally designed by the company's office, in California, with the word 'Stanze' added to the original name, it is now simply known as 'Nissan Altima". The name 'Stanze' can still be found on an older car's manual as well as on the automobile's trunk lid in the form of a sticker.

Over the years this automobile has proved itself as one of the fastest 4-cylinder cars in competition. It allows four people to be seated comfortably and has had different colors and shape designs over the years. There are manual or 4-speed automatic controls available.

These are such things as a sunroof, high-powered CD stereo, speakers locations and other things, again this depends on when it was manufactured. With each new model there were additions made which included new ideas. These are things that can be looked for when making a purchase.

If one is planning on purchasing a 2008 model in sedan or coupe form, there will be a 4-cylinder engine and a 6-speed manual transmission. The company's Hybrids, sold only in certain states, combine a 4-cylinder engine CVT with a battery-powered electric engine. The unusual feature of this particular car is that it does not require plug-in charging.

This automobile is listed on Consumer Guide Automobile as one of the best buys based on size, market position and price. It was formerly built in Smyrna, Tennessee but is now built in Canton, Missouri. It has been built since 1993 with different versions up to the present time.

Over the years it has proved itself as a reliable both in cold or hot weather and in adverse road conditions. Whether in general use or in competition its unfailing performance cannot be beat.
