Fly Clear To a Happy and Healthy Life

By Amanda Basso

I am not writing this to preach to you on how important a healthy living is, how you need to lose weight, or anything like that. I want to make that really clear before we get started. I'm not a doctor, I'm not a fitness expert, or a health nut guru and am not qualified to preach to you on anything. These tips are easy and I think will make you feel happier and maybe keep you from getting sick. Tips for a lifestyle that can help you fly clear through life and away from harmful diseases.

Tip one; don't be afraid from the outdoors. Now but this I don't mean that you should start jogging or hiking or anything. I hate hiking personally and I can't run to save my life. However, since summer is upon us and it is probably going to be a clear one, fingers crossed from the weather over the last few weeks, it would be a shame not to go outside and enjoy it. If anything just take a walk around the block and listen to your iPod. The little extra Vitamin D will make you just feel better.

My second tip, vegetables are your friends I know you've probably heard that a thousand and one times but it's true. Now if you don't like certain vegetables, then don't eat them but that doesn't mean you should quite them cold turkey. Unless you don't like all of them, then I would suggest add more fruit to your diet. However, if you like some veggies I would include them in at least 1 meal a day, and corn doesn't count.

My last tip for the day is, and it's very important, say no to supersizing. Now, I don't know who got this whole craze started but whomever they are really jacked up the portion sizes to the point that normal sized food looks tiny. Now, don't clear me from your mind as a health food nut when I say this, but the size of food is drastically different from what it was twenty years ago. Sometimes you don't have a size choice when you get something to eat. I know muffins and bagels are now made larger than they should be, and I'm not saying you should stay away from them. I personally love bagels and muffins. However, for the things you do have a choice about like fast food sizes, just be smart about it.

These are my three tips I wanted to share with you on how you can improve your life and maybe prevent yourself from getting diseases like diabetes, some cancers, and heart disease. They aren't really that hard and I'm not pushing you to do any of them. They are tips that I'm actually really starting to look at in my own life and I just wanted to share them with you.
