Last year, my mom did a lot of traveling for her job. She was flying from New York to Atlanta, Dallas, and Philadelphia and back, leaving my dad to take care of my two younger brothers by himself. It wasn't conventional for her, but it was what she needed to do in order to keep her career rolling. She wanted to be able to spend as much time at home as possible before she had to leave. My mother never enjoyed having to leave the house hours before her flight, having to wait on long lines. She always wished that there was a way to fly clear of airport security lines.
Having CLEAR would've been a great option for my mother at the time. She no longer travels long distance, but it definitely would have saved her time and gave her a few more hours a week at home. CLEAR is a program that allows flyers to skip the T.S.A. identity checker and go to the regular security line, being on the way to their flights in less than five minutes.
Traveling can be a hectic time. Between packing, running last minute errands, and printing out boarding passes, chances of arriving to the airport late are pretty high. There isn't a whole lot of time to have to worry about missing your flight because the line at airport security was so long.
CLEAR can relieve a lot of traveling stress. Flyers can register online for less than $200. After verifying their identity with their passport, their CLEARcard is matched with their biometrics. When travelers arrive at the airport, they go to a kiosk rather than the long security line, making the process so quick and simple.
After hearing about it, my mom wishes she had this when she was traveling all the time. It makes flying easier and makes rushing to the airport one less thing to worry about when a flyer already has a chaotic schedule. CLEAR is currently available at Denver, Orlando and San Francisco airports but is planning to add more to that list later this year.
