Egypt vacations is beckoning one to take a trip to Cairo, the largest city in Africa and the gateway to this exciting land where Pharaohs lived. This exhilarating, frantically busy multi-cultural city's architecture, culture and style of living has been shaped by the many different conquerors that have ruled there through the ages.

From antiquities and ancient world wonders to sunny beach on the Red Sea the choices are numerous. Scuba diving in the sparkling waters of the Red Sea is a thrilling experience. The abundant marine life and exquisite coral will keeping the avid diver busy for hours.

To really get the feel of the country one needs to take a cruise down the "life blood" of Egypt, the river Nile. Watching historical site, fertile valleys and amazing edifices created by nature and man glide by is a wonderful way to experience Egypt. One has the choice of taking a luxury liner or one of a more traditional river boat.

Many nations have ruled Egypt at one time or another and have left their mark in the architectural styles one sees around the country. Buildings from a by gone era stand side by side to the ultra modern constructions in Cairo where markets abound to tempt visitors and locals alike. Bargaining is the order of the day when purchasing that special handmade article or one of the lovely metal work items. The tasty food on sale will tempt the most discerning palate.

The natural beauty of the oasis at Fayoum and the surrounding lakes and waterfalls is well worth a visit. It may be wise to join guided tours if one is trying to see as much of the country as possible during one's stay.

Whilst enjoying Egypt vacations people need to make time for a camel ride as no visit to Egypt is complete without having this experience. There is much to see and do so one needs to check what is available and plan well.
